New World Adenium with Flammmable Looks
Today I would like to share the new adenium’s propagation technique by “BUD GRAFTING”. This method is great for economical, shorten, or limited scions from mother plant. You can use this technique to make more amount grafted Adenium on rootstocks. This is very easy work, just applying from the V-Grafting’s technique. Let start…
Prepare the healthy or strong scion from your variety selection. Make sure you see the many clear buds from that branch.
Find the healthy rootstock with any hybrids.
Make the V-Grafting on rootstock. Cut the left side on center of rootstock.
Cut the right side to make V-Cutting shape.
Now you will see the V-Shape on top of rootstock branch.
Do the same thing on scions, then that scion will look like V-Shape.
Put that V-Scion down to center of rootstock (V-Position).
Wrap that grafting area with grafted tape, not too tight.
Please make sure that you should try to wrap & cover that area with tape as much as you can to protect moisture and fungi disease around that grafting area.
Cover all of them with small plastic bag in order to protect vaporization and fungi disease from the air.
Waiting for a week then you will see new small born branch growing up from that bud position.
When you open the plastic bag, you will see clearer growing bud growing bigger and bigger.
Actually, there are many propagation methods for Adenium like cutting, crossing, etc. This is only one way of propagations. Why do I enjoy growing Adenium much? The reason is Adenium is the plant that we can enjoy growing with every plant part in itself, not only flowers attraction but branches & caudex bonsai training and root organization. Hello friends;
Today I would like to share you the sowing seeds techniques great for growing "ADENIUM OBESUM" and "ADENIUM THAISOCOTRANUM". The media for growing this adenium specie is unlike growing "ADENIUM ARABICUM". Adenium Obesum seeds are small and pretty weak so the suitable media should be very tiny like powder which can help their roots growing easier. This method could work greatly on "Rosy Adenium" as well so it would be very easy to create our new adenium flowers.
The perfect media I use is flitering "COCONUT POWDER". Coconut powder is neutral, not too acid or base and also can keep the moisture longer and no water draining. Here below are the steps of sowing seeds methods.
1. Prepare Coconut powder by filtering mixed coconut chunks.
2. Seperate the coconut fibre with another basket.
3. Watering coconut powder with fungicide chemical until it's soaked. Fungicide chemical is very important which can protect baby seedlings not to get rotten especially occur with their roots.
4. Put the coconut fibre on the bottom of our sowing basket. This is to help water not flow out too fast and also protect coconut powder flow out from bottom of basket.
5. Please make sure the amount of baskets are matched with amount of seeds.
6. Cover the coconut fibre with coconut powder.
7. This is the "Organic Granular Fish Fertilizer", this fertilizer is very good for baby and younger seedlings. This fertilizer will help them growing stronger and healthier by nature themselves unlike chemical fertilizer just boost up the growing rate but weak themselves in future growing.
8. Spread the fish fertilizer all over coconut powder (2nd layer).
9. Closed up looks
10. Cover it again with coconut powder.
11. Watering them again until you see water come down from bottom of basket.
12. Use the ruler to make the rows.
13. Use the clipper to put each seed in each row very gently.
14. Put the tag name and date of sowing. This will help you to easily remember espcially with new hybrid crossing.
15. Cover it again with dry coconut powder, should be about 1 cm height.
16. Watering them again until top coconut powder just getting wet.
17. Use the basket cover to cover baskets and put them in the shade for a week.
18. After a week, open the basket cover then you will see new baby seedlings growing up from media in 7th or 10th day.
19. Spread the fish fertilizer again all over seedlings. That's all and hope you will have fun with this.

I must say this work came from totally "LUCK". I didn't think the crossing outcome would be like this. Rose is the flower of love, long time. Now, roses can grow and bloom beautifully in the bottle glass and also grow with your love. A new gift for today is "Dwarf-Rose" with many colors. Dwarf-Rose is a rose with mini-size. Due to her small size, it's hard to make propagation by budding and root cutting. We have to popularly propagate her by using tissue culture method instead.
Dwarf-Rose can be made a gift of love, such as valentine or wedding day. We grow her in the bottle or glass tube and also adjust or control her with the same size by pruning.
Size Comparison between "Dwarf Rose" and Regular Rose
This is needed for all types of roses are already Dwarf-Rose has different features different from normal roses. Her stem is not higher than 3-5 inches while the largest flower is not over than thumb. Now we can make Dwarf-Rose up to 15 colors of 15 species which are seen as normal with only red color.
We are using tissue culture in plant propagation. To do this, take the wanted rose from the regular varieties and to cut into small branches. They were embroidered onto agar culture of food in the bottle culture for 12-15 months and put into branches.

Today we would like to share you with our new Adenium Bonsai Seedlings with "Muscular Root Form" (Rambo Form). We grow them by nature with organic media and fertilizer, not using chemical substances. Due to this natural growing, our adeniums can grow like Bonsai e.g. antique skin, more branch internodes, muscular root, and more branches. Growing by natural organic method will make them grow slower 3-4 times than chemical use. Even they grow slower by nature unlike growing by chemical substances but they are stronger, healthier, and more resist with any diseases. Please see table below with our conclusion.

The Adenium’s decoration following with bonsai guide arises from the cultural adenium’ growers to develop and build new trend to the field of adeniums including with the value added to Adenium itself. This is also to attract people to the beauty of their fascination. This beauty would come from natural Adenium’s modification to new form created by imaginative works of art and thought of Bonsai basis. Then transfer to elaborate root branches form on the basis of elements not conflict with too much from the balance of nature.
The way to make Adenium bonsai is how to retrieve the bonsai’s technique and the basis of thought to decorate with it. The most attractiveness of Adenium as Bonsai form is the “ROOT” and also this is the hardest part to do. You can also add more value to Adenium with nice root arrangement. One more important thing is to protect rotten root cause of banding together and broke away.
Normally we need to repot or remove adenium to grow in a new container or pot every 6 months so we can use this opportunity to arrange the roots at the same time. Here below is the technique of root arrangement.
1. Remove Adenium from old container very carefully then spray water all over it to remove soil. You need to do very gently on the fibrous roots because they are very sensitive.
2. Make it dry by hanging in the shade about one week so you can repair the tie roots easier. You don’t need to finish this by one time. If you feel roots tie very hard, you can dry it one more week then you can notice roots will get more loose and easier to do again.
3. Make root more spread as much as you can. You can use the chopstick or toothpick to fibrous roots to order them. For the bigger ones, you can use foam cut as triangle or cubic shape depending on room between each root’s positions. You can also cut the unnecessary roots or wrong roots’ positions with clean and sharp razor. After that, spray your Adenium all over with fungicide chemical to protect rotten roots after repotting. Then hanging it one more day and make sure it dry.
Now it’s time to grow it with new container or pot.
2. Media Preparation – We separate the media in 2 parts. The first one is rough media using for normal growing and the second one is powdering media using for surface’s decoration to roots.
3. Put the coconut chunk about ¼ of container or pot height then put the rough media until ½ of container height. Make the media like mountain higher than container border around 2-3 inches.
4. Put the Adenium carefully on it at the center of container and arrange root to spread with order from top of mountain straight to container’s border as much as you can.
5. Use the powering media to cover all the roots very gently.
6. Water your Adenium with fungicide chemical from top to all media and make sure this solution flow out of container bottom. Now your Adenium and new media are free of disease. Now your Adenium leaves might become yellow and fall. Don’t worry; this can happen with changing adenium with new media changing because Adenium is not get used to with it. Then put your Adenium in the shade until you see new small leaves coming up. Now you can take her to outdoor to get full sunlight. You should use the cotton bag to cover the media again to protect burning on fibrous roots. Of course, fibrous roots can make your adenium more attractive when they are getting bigger.

Last time, I shared the idea how to make Yellow Adenium flower. Today I would like to share another idea of making “Blue” Adenium flower. It will be better if we can make adenium more beautiful from the beginning. Blue is one of dreaming color, we wish we could have made adenium with all blue. Blue is also one of dreaming colors for breeders. The concept of making full “Blue” flower is almost the same with making yellow but it’s just different on one thing. “Blue” is mostly come from the flower border area unlike yellow from inside throat. That means you have to make “Blue” border gradually spread inside to throat totally different with yellow from throat to border.

Today I would like to share our new development on Rosy Adenium with triple white overlapping petals. Developing on white is pretty hard to get on pure white because they will have tiny pink or yellow on petal borders.
Pure white is the most wanted for players or collectors here. Sometimes it looks stable on mother plant, but when making 1st grafting on other rootstocks, tiny pink or yellow comes up again on border.
This is the most pure white Rosy Adeniums now and very very productive flowers.
We've spent 2 years to use our most pure white on single petal crossing with original Rosy Adenium. Just keep crossing and doing research. We had about 50 varieties on white Rosy Adeniums but we checked the stablility with pure white and found that only 5 varieties have the best pure white and 100% white stability (The pure white is still the same as their mothers even grafting on other rootstocks).
White is one of rare adenium flower' colors, mostly are red. Players or collectors have been looking for the best white to make grafting on large rootstocks. Today I would like to represent our new Adenium's development coming up with Aroma or Fragrant. You might not believe that Adenium can give fragrance. Now the dream comes true. From my experiences, I just accidentally discovered one of Adenium cultivars which can provide slightly smell during watering in the early morning.
She was grown from “Harry Potter”, Adenium Crispum, or 2007 Hall of Fame. During 2007, I had got Harry Potter’s seedpod from natural pollination, not manually
cross-pollinating the flower. I took that seedpod and grown to seeldings. Luckily, one of seedlings gave flower blooming and slightly fragrant like Jasmine in early morning. I was so happy and this was my begin to produce a hybrid flower : "Aromatic Adenium".
Hybrid flower breeding often is done to produce certain characteristics. Flower breeders and researchers will breed for hardiness, color, bloom life, disease resistance and other desirable qualities.

After 2-3 months seedlings grow in 4 inches pot, seedlings will get bigger and we need to remove and grow them in 6-8 inches their caudex diameter should be around 1-1.5 inches.

I have been Adenium jury many times so I would like to share my knowledge what principle jury use for winning Adenium in contest. Today I would like to talk about another Adenium Rootstock style with large size. Most people think that most of Adenium Rootstock have round shape caudex and root spread but this style is followed by Bonsai Style with many spiral roots around caudex.
Not only nice caudex and root, branches are also followed with Bonsai class. That means we need to know the branch position to do the grafting in order to make her more beautiful in every angle when flowers are fully bloom.
We have many rootstocks with this style. The most popular now is to graft these rootstocks with Rosy Adeniums. We provide this grafting service with your own
or variety selection to graft with this kind of rootstock. Most of our Rootstock is over 10 years and 12-15 inches caudex diameter so this would make caudex skin look antique and very classical.
Today I would like to share the idea how to make adenium with nice form especially with productive flower blooming's technique. In Thailand, we like to use the medium & Large sizes with gardening and landscape business. The most important thing is to focus on nice caudex form and easily productive flowers.
First, I would like to begin with Caudex selection. We have many caudex styles but mainly there are 3 styles popular here.
1. Round shape or Obesum Rootstock
2. Bonsai Shape or Thai Rootstock
3. Special style e.g. Golden caudex
The caudex form I mentioned above is "Rooststock". Mostly Rootstock itself might not have nice, productive and beautful flowers so we need to graft her with lovely flowers to make her more beautiful.
Today I would like to share the idea why I work on making new mixed hybrid seeds from handed-cross pollination between Arabicum and Thai Socotranum. I have tried to find the best point of each hybrid both Arabicum and Thai Socotranum. Arabicum grow fast with powerful branches but not good enough for root base’s growth. Thai Socotranum grow slowly but powerful root base especially with nice caudex skin and compact branches.
I have tried many crossing among them for 2 years and found that seeds harvested from each parent come up with different characters. There are many seeds characters different depending on harvesting on parent herself. Seeds look like “Ball Shape” is the best thing which can grow with good form. Good form in my sight is up to Bonsai terms. They should be consist of nice root base, shorter caudex, brownie caudex, and symmetric branches with strong main middle stem. Glad to see you guys again. “Born to be Bonsai” for this article is my personal quote for “Artificial Adenium-Bonsai Seedlings”, not related with real organized Bonsai. From my experiences, I have found that not only all Adenium seedlings can perform as Dwarf or Compact Seedling form but only 10% can do. On that time, I focused on only TRUE hybrid from mother plants themselves mostly on Arabicums or Thai Socotranums. Table below is shown that what good or weak point for each hybrid I have found.

Today I would like to share you the new trend of Adenium form compatible with Bonsai Class. The most attractive of this Adenium 's style is spread root base. it's also consist of short neck, antique skin, and symatric branch comes up with strong middle branch and surrounding side branches. Thai Socotranum itself mostly has high caudex, please see the left photo. Arabicum has wide caudex but branch is hardly compact which most branch will get longer and hard to stop because this is nature of it.
As we know, Golden Crown is one of the best and most expensive Thai Socotranums. It will be better if we can make it more beautiful from the beginning. First, we have to choose the 4-month seedlings originally from original hybrid Thai Socotranum: Golden Crown. We notice and select the seedlings with caudex balancing with top branches. Branches should be balance in 4 sides or in the same level and also has main middle branch the most important for this Golden Crown. The root’s consideration in this time is pretty hard because it’s in media.
I have got many questions about seed sowing technique. Today I would like to share my experience of it.
This year is longer cold weather not happened in Thailand before. This would help adeniums caudex can store food better and also give healthier seedpods. Seeds are very strong and higher germination rate. We always concern about seed quality affected to seedling quality as well. All of our seeds are harvested from original mother plants so you can ensure they are TRUE hybrids, this won't waste your sowing time with wrong hybrids. Actually, Bonsai has come to Thailand for many years
As we know, Adeniums are beautiful plants especially with their caudex attraction. They will have much more value if they grow in nice pots and perfect matched with Adeniums. Each one is unique to give a real character to your Adeniums. We would like to offer these pots especially produced with “Hand Made” so they will be better quality and details. These pots are usually matched with medium or large Adenium Caudex.
When you begin to maintain the form of Adenium seedlings, you should know how to start in the right direction and good form in the long term. This can help you not waste your time and wrong trial with growing in better form. I would like to share a new technique to help making Adenium branches become better symmetric form following with Bonsai Class by using the sunlight’s direction instead of leave cutting. Leave cutting was the old way to control the form mostly used with Arabicum. This is just to stop getting longer branch in a short term and not only make caudex slower growing but also root won’t be spread more because of less photosynthesis come from leaves. Here below is the new technique to make nice branches with symmetric form.
