Hi Adenium Lovers;
I would like to share the new trend of Adenium following as Bonsai Class especially with Broom style and also grow in Bonsai trays. Mostly I develop or breed this form from crossing between Arabicum and Thai Socotranum. There are 3 main things to serve this Bonsai Seedling style:
1. Root Base : should be Spread or Muscular Root - This depends on hybrid characters 2. Caudex : Short Neck and better with Antique Caudex skin
I also sharing the VDO of my Adenium Bonsai Collection grown in Bonsai Trays. This can help you to get better pictures.
These seedlings are over 2.5 years This is new trend of the year 2009 Adenium Form. Please enjoy watching...
3. Symmatric Branches : Should have middle main and surround side branches. This is good from Thai Socotranum as Mother.
This is our newest Cristata Adenium, this is very rare and unique. Her wall style will be spin around when she is growing and getting bigger. Grafted Plants are release now
As we know, Golden Crown is one of the best and most expensive Thai Socotranums. It will be better if we can make it more beautiful from the beginning. First, we have to choose the 4-month seedlings originally from original hybrid Thai Socotranum: Golden Crown. We notice and select the seedlings with caudex balancing with top branches. Branches should be balance in 4 sides or in the same level and also has
main middle branch the most important for this Golden Crown. The root’s consideration in this time is pretty hard because it’s in media.
Next, we will repot these selecting seedlings in new media mostly we start doing this with 2-2.5 inch caudex seedling. We also need to organize the roots at the same time; this should be planning to do in young seedling because it will be easier than doing all in pretty old seedlings.
Root in good characters should be beautiful when it’s growing up and grow spread around the caudex. About 60% of Golden Crown can provide nice spread root by nature. Personally I prefer to organize root grown by nature than root cut by human.
I stretch the roots out and make 80 degree distantly from caudex. Make the media like mountain shape and press around media.
“The tight media from mountain shape will help or control root to grow spread in sideways only, not go down to bottom pot”. Cover the roots with media around 1.5 inch height.
After 3 months, root will be bigger and spread around caudex like centipede which we can organize this root now. The important thing is not to take seedling out before 3 months because root is not strong and too small, this could make root cut off.
“Root Organization should do in every 3 months and same time with media changing”. The new root, from cut off during organization, will grow faster, bigger and better hunting the food than natural growing. This is a special tip.
Not only root part, we should focus on branches form and this is also same important thing as roots form. Branches should spread around from top stem
symmetrically. The most important factor to help this is “Sun Light” direction. We will spin the pot and let the short or missing branches to hit with the sunlight fully to make them growing equally with others.
Using the sunlight technique should do with young seedlings but hard to do on elderly ones because they will be easily adjusting themselves. How can we do the branches for elderly seedlings? I will share the idea next time. I hope this help.. Have a nice day.
As we know, Adeniums are beautiful plants especially with their caudex attraction. They will have much more value if they grow in nice pots and perfect matched with Adeniums. Each one is unique to give a real character to your Adeniums. We would like to offer these pots especially produced with “Hand Made” so they will be better quality and details. These pots are usually matched with medium or large Adenium Caudex.. More
Not only grafted Adenium' Varieties, we also offer you with medium and large caudex size. They are good for your collection or landscape. We will select the most varieties come up with popular varieties, productive flowers or full blooming matching with their sizes. Please click here for more detail.
Our Medium and Large Adeniums
Our collection of Large Adeniums
Hi Adenium Lovers;
I am the one of Adenium Lovers who loves to develop new hybrid all the time. Not only Adenium flowers, but also Adenium forms or characters’ development. The trend of this year is Adenium Bonsai Seedlings especially grown in bonsai trays. We focus in the “Adenium Form” more than original hybrid and the most focusing part is root
base. The perfect structure of adenium bonsai seedling is consist of spread root base, shorten caudex or neck, antique skin, and symmetric branches on top.
The principle of Adenium Bonsai Seedling’s developing is to better understand each hybrid. The hybrids for making this form are Arabicums and Thai Socotranums’ uses. We need to understand the strong and weak points for each hybrid characters to make seedling form as you wish. This is the same concept as new obesum flowers’ crossing.
Many adenium players wanna have a good dream to produce the beautiful seedling form. The knowledge of hybrid matching is the key to make the good form so you must recognize the hybrid characters very well. How can we start doing this? First you need to make assumption that your new seedling hybrid must be obvious than existing one otherwise your seedlings will be in the last row.
Here are what I do
1. You need to look for distinguished mother plant in term of form structure such as chubby caudex, fast growing and strong body. All of this depends on breeder’s decision. For example, Arabicum Lop Buri is strong point on faster growing, spread root, shorten caudex, bigger seed pod and also healthy seed.
2. Looking for the father which has specific characters or totally different characters or structure with mother plant such as much more spread root, compact branches, clearer branch internodes, wrinkle caudex skin (good looking on Bonsai form) and symmetric on top branches. Thai Socotranum is good for these characters.
3. Keep nourishing both father and mother plants much more healthy as you can in order to make much more pollen, stronger ovary, strong root, and better food transportation. These will help them give you bigger seedpods and healthier seeds.
4. Crossing these parents with circumspect work in order to not to make self pollination. You should record the data very careful such as crossing date, hybrid and parent uses (which ones are father and mother?) We have about 11 Arabicum and 5 Thai Socotranum hybrids so you can get 55 new mixed hybrids. Let’s see how fun they are? Now I have only 5 new mixed hybrid from crossing them.
5. After getting the seeds, sowing them with delicate work including fungi disease and insect protection.
6. Record the results carefully. I do many crossing sets and select the better seedling forms to keep making for F2, F3, F4 generation…etc. Last step is “Back Cross” with parents again until you see they have new characters with pretty stability. You can create new hybrid name or new mother plant; this is the most exciting part for me.
I hope these can make your dream come true. If you have some comments or questions please email me. Have a nice weekend.

When you begin to maintain the form of Adenium seedlings, you should know how to start in the right direction and good form in the long term. This can help you not waste your time and wrong trial with growing in better form. First thing you must know is the adenium’s characters which present in best seedling form most popular one is “Bonsai Form”.
This is the most important thing on Adenium’s maintaining.
Growing Adenium-Bonsai Seedlings, the growers who just begin to grow this form will get a big headache, mostly from incomplete form such as less branches, non-spread roots, and bad form on top branches. The worst thing is growing seedlings without concerning parents’ characters. To solve this problem in long term, I would like to suggest 4 main factors focused in growing Adenium-Bonsai’s seedling since the beginning of growing. This Adenium-Bonsai form is being the most popular trend not only here but also in global market.
Today I would like to start with the 1st factor; Symmetric Branches. Actually, the most important thing to concern with Adenium Bonsai Seedling form is Root. I will share the idea about this later.
Branches – We should find the hybrid can give many or multi-branches such as Adenium Arabicum : Ra Chi Nee Pan Dok (RCN), Adenium Thai Socotranum : Kao Hin Zon. Not only multi-branches but we should also
concern on branch directions. If they grow in the wrong directions, we should fix and make them in the right ones; this is what I call “Symmetric Branches”. There are 2 ways to make this …
1. Cutting Leaves
This is the most popular way in the group of Arabicum players because branches in this hybrid naturally grow very fast and lengthy hard to control. Is it good to do this through all of her life? I think you might get sick of doing this and worry when branches start getting longer and longer, sometimes even cutting leaves often. Cutting leaves always do when your adeniums are in ready good shape or Dwarf form. This is what Arabicum growers like to
do. Actually, cutting leaves is not my favor in order to control the lengthy branches even in ready Dwarf form. From my experiences, you can get the Dwarf form in sowing only 5-10 percent or good seedling form during baby.
What we’re gonna do to control form exactly?
To let leaves growing naturally, not cutting, will better help not only adenium’s caudex bigger but also many more roots especially fibrous roots. This means your adenium will get healthier from photosynthesis with more leaves. You can also feed her with nutrient spraying on her leaves to make her stronger and hard to get disease. Another way out is the hybrid knowledge because some of hybrids or species can give more compact form and many branches. The easy concept is “More internodes, shorter branches”. Arabicum : RCN is the one of specie of Arabicum hybrid comes up with many of internodes but RCN might not perform well in term of spread roots. You should use this specie crossing with Arabicum Lopburi or special form of Arabicum Petch Na Wang perform easily with root base and muscular branch style.
I have spent 3 years to find out the best hybrid to make adenium growing nice form without cutting leaves to maintain branch form. Finally, I found that the mixed hybrid between Arabicum and Thai Socotranum is the most perfect match with better growing naturally in Bonsai Seedling ‘s Shape and easier control the form. Branches are also shorter, symmetric by nature and easier to control, not longer. This is good for adenium beginners with form lovers.
Naturally spread rootbase, not from caudex cut in baby seedling.
Octopus Rootbase Style
2. Pruning
If the branches get longer in this new hybrid, what we’re gonna do? The answer is pruning, not cutting leaves. Thai Socotranum is the best hybrid to put out the branches easier after pruning. This is why I do not focus much more on branch form during growing because I can make more branches later but I do firstly focus more on roots since baby seedlings.
How to prune Adeniums to get symmetric form?
First, you should have the bonsai concept as weapon. Pruning is the most popular thing found mostly in the group of Thai Socotranum’s players and also wiring to make adenium more beautiful with bonsai form. To make bonsai form in part of top branches, I always prune adenium at least 3-4 times until the branch form is symmetric. First pruning, you should cut the branches in the shorter position as you decide and wait for new branches come out. You need to concern with the branch direction as well. Second pruning will follow when first branch set is enough bigger and it takes about 2-3 months. Do these again and again until you are satisfy with branch detail and direction.
The most important thing of pruning is to cut the branch in the position of internodes because new branch will come out on this position. Please do not forget the concept that I mentioned above, more internodes more branches. (Please see the image below). You can do this in the sunny day or in the rainy season but you need to water her with fungicide chemical e.g. Mathalaxyl after finish pruning. I hope this will help you get more understanding and fun with Adenium growing in bonsai form.

Hi Adenium Lovers;
Today I would like to share our new Rosy Adeniums from hand-crossed pollination. We have selected the best and greatest cultivars over 100 flowers to make them become Rosy Adenium or Double and Triple petals.
This is the biggest revolution of Adenium Flowers. Here below are some of Rosy Adeniums are released soon.
This is Rosy Adenium with double petals come up with strong and orange-red petal like fire. Flower diameter is around 5 cms and very productive.
This is Rosy Adenium with "Triple Petals" developed from "Santa Claus". Santa Claus was used to be our hall of fame on year of 2007. Flower diameter is around 6 cms, fresh red petals and nice with pure white border.
This is Rosy Adenium with Double Petals developed from "Fragrant Delight". Flower diameter is around 5-6 cms. Petal is white and decorated with stripe fresh red.
This is one of our best Rosy Adeniums with "Triple Petals". She is the most similar to Rose from our development. Flower diameter is around 6 cms and very productive.
To produce Rosy Adenium is very simple. We use "Dox Xon" (Double Flower) cultivar originally come from Vietnam. My friend, Mr Khuong was the owner of this cultivar. Just select the cultivar you like and cross with this cultivar so you will get Rosy Adenium. Now we also use our new Rosy Adenium cross with Rosy Adenium each other in order to get many new Rosy Adenium Flower' styles. I have got many questions how we do the hand-crossing pollination. I was taught this crossing technique from my Adenium Master, Mr. Somsak from Tuang-Thong Nursery. He was my first adenium master who I respect most in Adenium soiety here. Here below are the steps what we do.
1. Select the flower bloom in 2nd day
2. Tear a couple of petals
3. Use the ear stick to open the stigma
4. Draw the ear stick up to let you see the pollen inside clearer.
5. Now you will see the pollen on the top of stigma
6. Then use small brush to draw them up
7. Now the pollen will be on the top of your small brush. Your brush should be a little bit wet in order to absorb the pollen better especially on top of it.
8. Then draw them up slightly on the side of partel, not on the top, because of the reproduction point is side area. This step must be done carefully.
9. After finish the 8th step, close them back with petals in order to protect dew.
10. Wire this with small wire to remember which branches we do crossing.
These photos above are some of our new cultivars ready to produce Rosy Adenium.
This is the most stunning of Rosy Adenium with pure double white petals and also the first release in the world.
